In regards to the purse of the month contest, for the month of January there will not be a contest. Unsure if my instructions on how to submit a picture of your purse was clear or not. In any event this month's contest will NOT be held. I will revamp my contest for next month, Feb 1, 2010 Stay tuned for more clear & concise information regarding it & a little surprise too.

My Wish Bag

Hello all. A few months ago I posted was is known as my wish handbag. It is a handbag I wish to have. Now that Christmas has come and gone, you're probably wondering if I did in fact get the handbag of my dreams. Unfornately I did not get my wish handbag but I did get two handbags that I posted to this very site.

The Nintendo Carrying Case As A Handbag was posted in November 2009. This was in my stocking in my favorite color of blue.

I also received the above purse as well. This was posted in October 2009 as New Purse Alert in a tan color.

What do you get a bonafide purseologist for Christmas, a new purse but of course. So although I did not get my wishhandbag, I am very satisfied with the purses I did receive.

After Christmas Sales

Today is the second biggest shopping day of the year, the day after Christmas. Every where you go today there will be massive lines for returns and lines for extra savings on holiday items. I myself have to return a broken item but I will not be standing in line for an hour to exchange an item. Like with sales, you do not have to jump feet first to exchange or return an item today. Must stores have at least a thrity day return policy. Check with your receipt before going to the store. I myself will be heading to the store Monday after work. If anything the lines might only have maybe four to five people in them. Now comparing those lines to today's lines which will look like either a Black Friday or a free giveaway line that will undoubtly circle most of the stores. Let the crowds die down then you bounce to make your exchange. In meantime shop around for additional savings on a new hot purse.

Nintendo Carrying Case As A Handbag?

There are times when we all want to grab the smallest handbag we can find to toss in keys, money, and our identification. For instance, when you’re at work going to lunch but not wanting to carry your purse. If you’re like some many women that shop on their lunch hour, the least you carry to the store equals the more you can carry from the store. Or even if you’re taking a leisurely stroll through the park, you still need that cute purse without feeling weighed down.

On a recent trip to an electronics store, I stumbled across a handbag. You're probably wondering what was a handbag doing in an electronics store. That was my initial thought as well. It seems that Nintendo sells carrying cases for their DS and DSI gaming systems. At first the selection was very limited by only carrying boring and dull carrying cases. They perhaps figured out that more and more girls and women were playing their games, so they designed more feminine friendly carrying cases.

The above carrying cases are not only stylish but can hold, your keys, money and identification. They come with carrying handles you can just grab and go. They also come with wrist straps, which simply slip on your wrist and away you go. They retail at Best Buy ranging from $9.99 to $14.99. The blue bag/carrying case is actually what I carry my very own DSI game system in. Until sitting down to write this article I never thought about using it for a handbag. But the more I wrote the more it became relevant that it would serve its purpose and more. Nintendo carrying case, a handbag is a handbag. Its depends on how creative you are to see how far you can take a bag and turn into your very own.

Handbags From An Unlikely Source

A few weeks ago I held a survey on whether people would purchase a handbag from a second hand or thrift store. An overwhelming amount of people said they would purchase from said stores. The same people also said they would tell their friends that they purchased it from a thrift store.

It’s refreshing to know that people do shop at thrift and second hand stores. Its not just heavily used items that are displayed. But lightly used items full of life left in them. In some cases, you can actually find brand new items with the original store tags still attached to them. I have been visiting various thrift stores in hopes of finding my hidden treasure in these huge chests.

These handbags were purchased today from a thrift store near my home. The small brown bag is a Prada. From the feel and look of the handbag, it is authentic. It has a slight unnoticeable blemish on the strap near the buckle. The larger handbag with the curved top area is an authentic Italian Leather handbag. It has several compartments inside with great stitching. Both handbags are in great shape minus the blemish. All the zippers work and the linings are not worn or even torn in any way. Both bags are lightly used but well taken care of. I purchased each of them for a mere $19.99 each, for a grand total of $39.98 with no taxes. Had I purchased these handbags new at regular prices, I would not have been able to afford any of them. I found my handbags from an unlikely source and I am very pleased.

My Wish Handbag

Christmas is right around the corner and so is my birthday. To be precise my birthday is December 27. Now being born in the midst of the Christmas season, I tend to get robbed a lot in reference to gifts. I would some times get one gift either for my birthday or Christmas. With that in mind I developed what is called My Wish Handbag. It is merely a handbag I wish to receive some day. Although this website is geared toward finding fabolous handbags at great prices, my wish bag does not fall into this category because it is just that, a wish. We all have those wishes we pray hard for.

This is called the Op Art Chainlink Maggie shoulder bag by Coach. This is a beautiful handbag that I found at Macys. I love the way the bag looks and because of the different colors of links you can wear it with any of the colors on the bag and still make a statement. This handbag retails for $298.00
